These products are developed to help and advise the plant management of Power Plants to run their units at their best efficiency levels resulting in savings on tangible running costs and intangible gains due to improved availability. For a coal of calorific value of 3400 kcal/kg at 1500 Rupees per ton; the tangible gain for a station of 500 MW working as base load for 8000 hours in a year exceeds by Rs.4.0 crore due to an improvement in Heat rate by 23 kcal/kWh ( »1%).
